LOVE…never gives up. LOVE…is always hopeful. LOVE…never loses faith.

LOVE…endures through every circumstance.

Sending LOVE to you today my sisters. Today is a good day! We are here. We are prepared to receive all that today has to offer. We are ~sobfol~

We are Strengthening Our Black Females Out of Love. I don’t know if this is your first visit to the site, or if you have been logging on to check us out each day of our “introduction week”. Either way, we are so glad that you are here! With LOVE being the driving force and focus of this vision, during this first week we wanted to start with reflecting on one of the most eloquent descriptions of love in its true form. Each day we have used verses from the book of Corinthians which is found in the New Testament of the Holy Bible. The reading is found in the 13th Chapter. You have probably heard it recited at weddings, or maybe memorial services. It is our greatest desire that through this blog site we will be able to reach out to a wide range of readers. Sisters who might be searching for camaraderie, support, inspiration, joy, peace, understanding or acceptance. We do not seek to push religion but we will offer faith. We do not desire to make anyone uncomfortable, but we would like to explore how we all fit together to create a great culture which is Black and Female. There is nobody like us. Nobody understands us like us. It’s a Sista’thang.

So as we bring this short study of Corinthians 13 to a close, let’s look at what it says and take a really good look, I mean a close-up in the mirror look and see if you see what I see when I see the face of the person these words seem to describe. Pardon my “Ebonics” but here goes…

Love never gives up. Can’t nobody keep on keepin’on like a Black Female. Please don’t tell us we can’t do something. Please DON’T! Because now we really MUST show you that we can. Love is always hopeful. Oh yes we have hope! A mother’s hope in a child who is trouble 99 times in a row, we are still waiting on 100 for that baby to get it right. A wife’s hope in a marriage that has been failing for years, yet believes that the good outweighs the bad and it’s just about to get better. A student’s hope that even though it’s been ten years of part time classes and full time work, that degree is still within reach. Love never loses faith but endures through every circumstance. Love that says I will work on, I will fight on; I will hold on, I will be strong. This too shall pass, I can make it!

Did you look really close? Did you see yourself? Take out your pen, iPad or iPhone and record what you see in yourself today. You have the heart and soul of Corinthians 13. “The Greatest of these is LOVE”. So hold your heads up! Get on your Sista Strut. You are the walking Epitome of a Strong Black Woman!
