HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Welcome my sisters! It’s 2017 and we made it!!! I’m coming to you straight off the treadmill because that’s what we do. Right? We thank God for bringing us over the threshold of another year and then we make a vow to do better. Live better. Love better. Eat better. Exercise better. Does any of this sound familiar, or is it just me?? Oh, I think I can almost see your heads nodding and your faces smiling in agreement. And did I say this was a bad thing? Absolutely not! It’s a great thing. I say go for “BETTER” in a big way even if you have to start brand new every day.

Actually, I think “better” is a very good idea. While you are preparing your list of things to make better this year, there is one very important thing that I want you to remember to include…..YOU! Love yourself better, treat yourself better, take yourself out to lunch, take yourself out to a movie, look at yourself in the mirror and tell yourself how incredible you are in every way. You are a daughter of the MOST HIGH KING! You are ROYALTY! Welcome Your Royal Highness! It’s a new year! A new day! A new opportunity to thrive, to grow, to give, to receive, to be better!

I am reminded of a t-shirt that was popular many years ago, maybe we need to revisit the concept. It simply said “I know I’m somebody, because God doesn’t make junk!” Celebrate the possibilities that are waiting for you in the year to come….you are extraordinary!
